Grasmere Ranch - Closet Storage Transformation
Located in the Grasmere neighborhood of Staten Island, NY this attic space had long been overlooked. Once a dark, cluttered area with low ceilings and tight angles, it offered little functionality or inspiration. Our client had grown frustrated with how hard it was to find anything and felt she had completely outgrown the space. The attic felt more like a burden than a part of the home.
CRAFT by Anika saw an opportunity to turn this space into something special. By focusing on clarity, flow, and organization, we reshaped the attic into a dedicated walk-in closet and storage space. We took the time to understand the client’s day-to-day needs and thoughtfully designed the layout to support ease, comfort, and visibility. Every decision was made to restore purpose and elevate the experience of being in the space.
Because the ceilings were low and the architecture posed layout challenges, we worked with a semi-custom closet system that could be tailored to fit the space without compromising on quality. We brightened the room with improved lighting and a clean, airy palette to reflect natural light and expand the feeling of openness.
This attic is now a functional extension of the home, equipped with zones for clothing, accessories, luggage, and seasonal storage. From maximizing every inch to ensuring the space felt intentional and luxurious, this transformation shows what can happen when thoughtful planning meets design that listens. The Grasmere attic no longer feels forgotten. It’s a space the client now looks forward to using every day.
